dogs, my biggest mystery.

one thing i have never understood...and it really is a farrar thing...is having a pet...especially a dog. especially a small dog(you know the kind that always will be small). i just don't understand it.

i can understand a big dog(barely)....but i just dont understand having a tiny dog. get a cat or something.

unless you are elderly and need a small dog companion, fine.
if it starts as a cute small puppy and grows big, fine.
but if you are getting a small dog to make yourself look more chic/hip/cool, not fine.

i dont even think these words i am writing make sense, but all i know is having a dog and always talking about it is weird to me.

okay that doesnt make sense unless i preface it a bit...
there is this blog i have always loved...this girl is super stylish, always posts about cupcakes, food she eats, amazing friends she has... yada yada...which is normally fine...then she got a "small dog" as i call it...which for some reason now makes her this completely superficial person to me. like now everything she does on her blog i am stamping it with "superficial."
with no dog, not superficial. with a puppy that would turn into a big dog, not so superficial. with a small dog, superficial.

i dont like hurting anyones feelings(would someones feelings even get hurt over this thought of mine) but this time i just had to HAD to say it. i was too bugged.

"Get a cat or something." Ha, I love it.

Rob likes ugly dogs, like chihuahuas.

ewww..chihuahuas! I know of two couples that got puppy dogs due to not being able to get pregnant, therefore temporarily filling a painful void. Us, we got a dog because we had been together for awhile, we needed to practice some responsibility (it wasn't time yet for a human)+ e loves dogs. Oh and yes, they are wonderful companions. As I sit here and pet my furry son I am reminded of the question I asked e awhile back..."are there dogs in the celestial kingdom?" "yes...most defiantly." I get the ornate dog you speak of...thats just annoying.

HA! I know the blog you speak of & agree with the annoying-ness of that being all that's talked about.

But I gotta say the Carter family is an owner of not just a dog, not just a small dog, BUT a Chihuahua.

I gotta say we wanted a dog because they are AWESOME, loving, fun companions. We wanted a small dog because we live in small places. We chose a Chihuahua because we went to the pet store, saw he was born on Halloween (my fav holiday) & fell in love.

Our kids adore playing with him, he's hilarious, he let's us know when people are at the door & we love him. I got all sorts of love for doggies.

Hoping you don't think I'm too superficial though! I don't carry him around in my purse or anything & he's all sorts of fat & tough. :)

dog lovers are dog lovers, and we will never see eye to eye. I agree with Monica. But I'm a Farrar. I like people best.
