utah i went

a few days after returning back from europe, i made my way down to utah to visit kaitlin and joslin before they made their way to germany for the next few months. our trip started out with a trip to the "tulip festival" which was LESS THAN IDEAL. it really was a joke. the only tulips planted were basically just planted around the park....like any park would do. not okay. we wandered around for about a half hour trying to figure out where the fields of tulips were.

this joke of a map...
at least we had fun making fun of the park as well as enjoying some man-made waterfalls and cotton candy.

there was a mini noahs ark upon entering thanksgiving point, and noah just happened to be joslin's size.
my friend jake, sitting there amongst drums, had a house show. i have some talented friends. oh, and ben, his buddy there on the guitar...is basically going to be famous someday. so make note. and if he is not...i will be mad.
a song that aurora(sp?), ben's girlfriend wrote. pretty good.

otter, a song jake wrote that I LOVE. he is so fantastic.

kaitlin and her roommates hosted a dessert party kinda as a goodbye party/end of the year party. so many delicious homemade treats were contributed.
my personal favorite of the evening was Sara's DANGEROUSLY DELICIOUS key lime cupcakes...oh wait i thought i remember them being lemon...hah...but the card says key lime...so that must be right.

after a busy weekend in provo with packing and moving kaitlin and joslin's stuff we headed out to fruitland idaho. i thought there would be NO WAY we could fit all the stuff we were bringing. my quarters in the car looked like this all around me. less than ideal, but manageable.
first stop in fruitland was the watching of sport events, which i typically find uninteresting but still enjoy.
at one point a stop to walmart was made...inevitable...and i found myself some Le Gruyere cheese from switzerland that made me really miss where i had just been.
at the end of the trip i took photos of the girls wearing their headbands they are selling. a photoshoot is always in order when i come. see more HERE.
a lot of fun and crazy events are not shown, but it was a great trip and sure glad i went.
